«U2 ticket holders can get a full refund, despite concertgoers still waiting for November dates for the rescheduled New Zealand tour.
"If they know they can't be at the concerts in November, then they can seek a full refund, including the service fee," New Zealand publicist Bridget de Launay said.
The Irish band cancelled the final 10 concerts of its Vertigo tour, including two New Zealand concerts, citing serious illness of a family member of one of the band.
It is understood that the seven-year-old daughter of guitarist Dave Evans, known as The Edge, has leukaemia.
Promoters were working "as fast as possible" to secure the new dates in November but time zones and sensitivity to the affected musician meant Ms de Launay could not say when an announcement would be made.
No New Zealand ticket holders had sought a refund yet, Ms de Launay said. But with the 76,000 tickets sold for $100 to $199 reaching $600 on Internet auction sites before the concerts were postponed many were likely to wait it out.»
